When it comes to everything that an "American" should be, he was it.
Yeah, I think I agree with you. A case can be made for Teddy Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln, but I would ultimately vote for Reagan.
The resume is impressive:
- Defeating the Soviet Union and ending the Cold War
- Unprecidented economic expansion
- Reestablishment of US military superiority
- Rebirth of American patriotism
And then some.
What about Obi-wan Kenobi. Oh wait, he was from Tattooine
Then you add the acting career, love of the outdoors and "cowboy" lifestyle, example of love he and Nancy displayed. He's got the total package.
I'm not quite for sure why Hugh Hefner is on there. He's a great something but it has nothing to do with being an American.
John, you don't consider Hugh Hefner a tremendously influencial American? I certainly do. I guess, it all comes down to how we define "great."
Brett Favre?
