Ex-Sen. Thompson to Oversee Court Nominee

This seems like good news to me. First of all, Fred Thompson knows the Senate and will be able to navigate the self-righteous pomp and circumstance of it. This is an area that the President has struggled with through his administration. Second, Fred Thompson is a pragmatic conservative, which gives me hope that we will get a confirmable originalist on the Court. Third, they can always make a "ripped from the headlines" episode about it on Law & Order.
