I know very little about John Roberts, but here are my initial thoughts:
- I am surprised, and a little pleased, that the President chose a white man for SCOTUS. With all the political pressure to pick a woman or a minority, the President did not bow to the pressure, and I am pleased.
- I am watching the reaction of Chucky Schumer and Leaky Patrick Lahey on C-Span. Based on their palpable agnst, I like John Roberts.
- Roberts has an impressive pedigree with a track record of success. He is certainly quallified for SCOTUS.
