Hotel Rwanda

My counseling session was cancelled, so I decided to finally watch Hotel Rwanda last night.

Wow.

Brian McLaren has called Hotel Rwanda the most Christian movie he has seen, and I can understand why. It is the true story of a man who turns the hotel he manages into a refugee camp during the Rwandan genocide of 1994. He had built up good will with powerful people so that he could protect his family, but his view is eventually widened to help, not just his family but hundreds more. In all, Paul saved more than 1200 people.

This is a movie I highly recommend.

Ashley and I watched it a few weeks ago and we thought that it was great also.
