The Abducted Boys Case

This case in Missouri of the abducted boys found with the pizza guy is too strange to understand in many ways. Here's the thing that gets me. The parents of the boy who had been missing for four years get the call while they are driving. The investigator tells them to pull over, and then he gives them the news. I am thinking - how many times have you been driving and passed someone pulled over on the side of the road and wondered what they were up to? Maybe they are finding out that there lost son has been found.
