A Serious Question

Why do we have armpit hair?

Seriously. What divine design or evolutionary purpose left us with armpit hair. I don't get it. Do you?

To keep us warm during the cold, dark night of the soul. Er, maybe that's back hair. Er, um, do you even have armpit hair, O smooth one?

It's not a question if he has it, A. The question is how many different colors is it

My question is what made you think that question?

Ever look at Robb's beard? It's like Joseph's coat of many colors--it's kind of funny.

or I should say that the hair on Robb's head and the hair on Robb's face aren't the same color so, who knows? and now, I can honestly say, I don't want to spend any more time thinking about the hair on my brother's body.......

Hi
Serious answer. Friction reduction as your arm moves...to prevent chafing. Secondarily, there might be some evolutionary advantage in 'odor retention', but I won't go into that.

You are sick and wrong.
I don't HAVE underarm aka ArmPit hair. I don't believe anyone of cooth has it.
Is THIS the same individual who once posted having the LONGEST arm hair in the world? ..Seriously...I think you need a 12 step hair program.
ARMPIT hair? Related to armpit juice?
How Vulgar is that?...I also have no leg hair...OR leg hair stubble.

Fergitt about any other body hair. NO not going there. !!(see how I've become so much better at self monitoring??).

I did try and retrieve the said LONGEST arm hair photo from the archive..but I can't find it.

OK.

Yes, I have armpit hair. Are there people who don't? Do they have some kind of support group or website, because that would be amusing.

I am not going to comment on the color of my hair, lest it goes down some bizarre and awkward path.

Dan, don't start trying to peel back the layers of my mental processes. It will make all of us cry.

I guess the friction / chafing suggestion makes sense. But don't swimmers shave all their body hair to reduce friction?

I don't know. Maybe I'll visit wikipedia.

I don't have a solid answer but it helps me distiguish women from America from those of other countries... on many an occassion I have been truely thankful for this grooming subtlety
