Sadly, the Browns' unbelievable 10-win season has come to a close. It was certainly a memorable one! But unfortunately, many of the questions going into the 2007 season are left unanswered.
How long will Romeo Crennel coach the team?
Who is the quarterback of the future?
Here are a couple of bold predictions:
Romeo will be gone to Miami. Parcells wants one of his guys to coach the Fins and Romeo is a Parcells guy. The Browns will bring back Marty Schottenheimer for a career ending swan song. Rob Chudinski, the Browns' current offensive coordinator and one of Marty's assistants in San Diego, will be named Assistant Head Coach and will be the Head Coach in Waiting, ala Jason Garrett in Dallas.
Derek Anderson will be gone. Brady Quinn showed in his one series against the 49ers that he can be a bona fide NFL quarterback. An honest evaluation will show that Anderson benefitted immensely from throwing the ball to Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow. On far too many occasions, his passes were low and behind his receivers. Anderson as a restricted free agent will bring a large bounty of draft picks from a team like Atlanta, Chicago, or even Miami. And Cleveland needs draft picks to help fix the horrid defense.
So, the season is over. Let the speculation begin.

I can't see anyone taking the risk of Romeo this year... He still hasn't made a winner. I more see it being Jason Garret or yes, even Cowher out of retirement. Rumors are flying however about Cowher having interest in college too. He still hasn't denied getting back in it.. As a brown's fan I would hope that they keep the qb's, yep both, they are already in a spot with the possibility of the OC being a raven, so no more changes this year. Let's face it, Romeo knows he has to do it again next season and they don't need to start over... My question about Brady is this, would he have done as well and would Cleveland be at least as good??? I can't see it...
Browns Update: Major speculation on the Cleveland news today that perhaps both qb's may not be around next year, one of three senarios talked of.... However, most of the show was spent on the defense challenges....
Both QBs gone? That makes very little sense to me. Why would they trade both?
It seems that there are a couple people (sportswriters) that feel that Brady was too much hype and Anderson was just average. The comments that they made on the show appeared to be in relation to having all kinds of extra money for a defense by selling them off and pick up another average qb with the leftovers... The defense idea makes sense but starting from square one at qb is dumb in my opinion...
