says what? that we are going to be attacked by terrorists and he'll protect us? more extremist rhetoric from a politician that has no experience at the federal level except for suspicious prosecutorial behavior...good luck following this one to the finish line....
probably not but how about a little more experience than "running a city that pretty much runs itself"....the clean-up was well on its way by the time he took office, and 9-11 happened, people died, people survived, the city bounced back, and none of it had anything to do with what he did or didn't do...besides aren't you a little unsure about a guy married three times, leaving the last two wifes under less than ideal circumstances and someone who doesn't even have a firm NO against abortion???
It's not like he was the chief executive of Podunk, Nowhere. He was mayor of New York City. If NYC was a state, it would be the 12 largest one in the nation - three times larger than Arkansas. A chief executive of NYC has as much necessary experience as anybody to be chief executive of the nation.
Anonymous... what makes experience at the federal level so important? I seem to miss the importance of having a "politician" that has been in the wonderful federal system. I also think that your comment about the "city bouncing back" is lame, of course it will bounce back, look New Orleans is bouncing back even under our current administration (the one that couldn't find it after the water issue)... they all will, poly sci has taught us that large cities with high tourism all bounce back. Actually, Rudy has been in charge of one of the most culturally diverse cities in the country or beyond if you can allow yourself to go there, while also running one of the biggest tourism mecca's in the country or beyond, well you know where it goes, so this makes him more qualified in how things really run than most... I will sincerely hope that your vote will not be determined by such narrow issues that again will allow us to be boondocked... I am against abortion too, just as most are that "claim to be Christians" or ones that really are (me) but I'm rather dissapointed with our "W" Bush because my vote was wasted for him on that issue because they (abortions) still go on... daily and he's a "praying president" isn't he??? Hopefully, everyone will wake up and vote with a belief in the person that is their own and theirs alone and not do what the groups that don't want us to think outside the box or go "outside the walls of the city" because it's bad out there say to do... Come on anonymous... At least look at it this way, if I vote for Rudy that's one less vote for Hilary and I'm sure you like that...lol. But don't fret..... Thanks for the site robb and the go Brownies!!!!! Oh and one question, why are the republicans the ones that claim to be "religion based", look up each party and read what they are and stand for... start with the Libertarians, Independants...etc. Most have no idea of party doctrine but make statements that they heard somewhere...hmmm. Chris....
Of course you miss the importance of it--the idiot has us in a war which I'm guessing you support?
And I guess you aren't looking too carefully at New Orleans or visited it lately--it hasn't bounced back, the only thing thats bounced back is the wealthy parts of the city and of course tourism which is defined by the rich on the back of the poor.
What we need this year is a president who professes faith but uses wisdom, experience, smart advisors, and common sense to make decisions.
I don't think Republicans are the only ones claiming to be religious...there the only ones nutty enough to make it part of the political process...perhaps a history lesson would be in order for anonymous....
You go ahead and cast your vote for Rudy now...but I guarantee you that you won't have to worry about casting one for him in November...
Very nice response... I neither support the idiot or his power trip war... I also think that you missed the entire New Orleans issue that I brought up... Interesting isn't it that the rich and the tourism is the only part that flourishes isn't it while the poor got relocated throughout the country??... I understand your point(s) very well and agree entirely on what type of leader we need in this country. One that posses true faith(not stage faith for the voters) and still has wisdom would be nice.. However, it seems that most start out very strong and end up losing all because of various reasons only to eventually fall into the party trap... Hopefully our next will be wiser and stay true to what we are being sold now.... You may very well be correct about not being able to cast a vote for Rudy in November and if that's the case I guess I will adjust and make a more majority choice.....but then again I'm very tired of the majority and what they have yielded all of us. I must say that I find great humor in your statement that republicans are the only ones nutty enough to include religion...how true and really what a trap for them... Very funny comment though.... No matter what happens and who the winner will be... there is a great mountain to climb with what will be left after "W" goes to the unlucky soul that calls himself (sorry Hilary) the President... Chris..
I seriously doubt the Guilini will get the nod for the nomination. This guy is a real tool and a true moronic imbolsol. Of course the rest of the field isn't that far behind but what kind of conservative runs on abortion rights, homo marriage, and gun control? That in itself shows that this putz has no common sense as his views are more in line with the ACLU. Hell the guy can't even hold together his family what the hell does that say about holding together a nation. Anyone that supports this tool is no other than a tool himself.
I agree Dr. Mike...the guy was a putz in NY and he would be a worse one in DC...
lets go back to the statement made earlier about electing a pres without federal exp...GW had none--got us in a war, Reagan had none--tried to get us in one in Afghanistan, Carter and Clinton of course didnt...lets put one more conservative nut and he'll keep us in IRAQ till the next election
Do you really think that we'll get out of Iraq now anyway? I don't think it matters who gets in, I don't see us just pulling out. Like I said "W" has created a major mountain for the next poor sap... I still disagree about federal experience, it's a crooked system to begin with no matter who or what... If they aren't when they're elected they give in to the pressure over time... there isn't any that have stayed true to their election platforms. I just have to laugh though at the people such as yourself and the good doc because you're very quick to point against Rudy (and you're correct on most of it) but who are you trying to kid, we can dig up the negatives for them all. There is no just person to run this country in the parties... If anyone thinks there may be one they are the fool... Or you can be like me and get people all fired up to state why candidate "x" is no good and how stupid or dumb it is to waste a vote (yes manipulation is fun)...lol.... isn't the area of politics fun, almost as much as playing with those that are so very sure in their opinions.?.?. Also, how could you have gotten that I support "W" from my lengthy post???? I'm quite sure that Rudy isn't getting your vote..so who will get the golden nod of anonymous, if you can say??? Thanks....
Federal level experience is in of itself an asset to someone with common sense. As far as the candidates they all seem to be lacking in common sense. The problem with common sense is that it's not all that common. As far as Guiliani, this bum has none.
i guess you got to expect to be called plenty when you post support like you have...but since the right side of conservative is running scared with Huckabee making noise I can see why you might run toward someone as unqualified as Rudy....
I like Edwards but I'm still on hold because its ultimately going to be a wait and see anyway...don't want to get to far out ahead of things...

Is experience at the federal level now the benchmark for electing a president?
- GW Bush had none
- Clinton had none
- Reagan had none
- Carter had none
They turned out ok - well, except for Carter.

Wow. Now I've been called a tool on my own website.
