Church is about relationships. It is not primarily an organization. It is certainly not a business. It is not a not-for-profit charitable group. It is not a denominational structure. It is not a historical preservation group. It is not a group of venture capitalists.
The church is an interconnected and interdependent web of complicated and necessary relationships. Apart from deep and meaningful relationships, a follower of Jesus Christ cannot really follow Jesus Christ.
