Reader's Block

I am a little disgusted with myself right now that I can't seem to settle into a book.

I tried God's Politics by Jim Wallis, and just wasn't hooked. While I am open to some what he has to say, the slow pace and basic premises that I didn't buy made it a rough go. I gave up.

I also tried Heaven Is a Place on Earth by Mike Whitmer. The tone is sarcastic at the beginning, and I didn't see the need for that. Then, it is basic Christian worldview stuff which is interesting, but it's just not where I am at right now. So, I gave up on it too.

They are holding Newt Gingrich's new book for me at the library. Maybe I ought to pick it up.

Got any suggestions for me?
